Water-powered cotton-spinning mill built in late 1780s, converted to worsted spinning before 1822 and to silk spinning in 1869. Original three-storeyed six-bay mill incorporated wheelhouse of earlier corn mill. Warehouse remodelled and mill extended by four bays in early to mid 19th century. Partly demolished.
