Description

Steam-powered cotton-spinning mill of four storeys and basement built in 1868-9 to designs by R Ives and Son. Mill, of fireproof construction, resembles in its considerable depth mills typical of contemporary Lancashire cotton industry. Late 19th-century additions. Demolished.

Could you please tell me when the mill closed and, if possible, who worked there? I have reason to believe that some of my ancestors were employed there and would like to confirm it if possible. Many thanks
