Hi, found your very interesting website doing family research into my ancestors from the Todmorden area but actually looking for more details of Eastwood as that is where they all seemed to be born. Now the question is, this Stones Mill the same Mill as Staups Mill ?

I came across some details that a Richard Horsfall owned it (1802)and I think sold it (1805) to a John Horsfall. It included a factory, cottage, waterfall and small barn owned by Richard Horsfall (Junior - Richard senior was still living at Underbank which I believe to be in Eastwood. I do wonder if this is the same Mill. Interesting. I also wonder if this is where my Great plus 3 Grandfather started his Carting business which was passed down through the sons till the end of the war.

Very interesting.

Thank you

Steve H..
