I think my great grandfather owned a textile mill in Keighley during the early 1800s and apparently a relative-Thomas Hird was operating spindles at the Knowle Mill around 1910

My grandfather, Francis Hird came to the US in 1866 via Liverpool

The neighborhood in Philadelphia that he selltled in is Kensington and was the center of the textile industry in the US during the early 1900s. Is there a source for more info related to Hird Family-textile available?

Thanks
