Description

Established 1856 as steam-powered worsted-weaving mill with shed and attached engine and boiler houses. Warehouse added c1863. Bought in 1880s by Merrall and Sons of Ebor Mill, Haworth, and Lees Mill, Bingley, who enlarged the shed, built a new engine house and added a piece room. Converted to integrated working in 1895 with construction of large new spinning mill by W and J B Bailey of Bradford and Keighley. Mill has timber floors, five storeys, sixteen bays and was powered by rope race from attached corner engine house. Demolished.
