Description

Built c1847 as steam-powered worsted-spinning mill. The first mill comprised an eleven-bay timber-floored building of three storeys with attic and part basement; internal end engine house; attached boiler house; and chimney. Mill extended by five bays, and a small shed, probably for combing, was added late 19th century.
