Calverley is a village in the City of Leeds metropolitan borough in West Yorkshire on the A657 road, midway between Leeds city centre and Bradford. The village was part of the Municipal Borough of Pudsey alongside Farsley until 1974, though for centuries previously both Pudsey and Farsley were part of the Calverley parish.
Farsley is a town in the City of Leeds metropolitan borough, West Yorkshire 6 miles (9 km) to the west of Leeds city centre, and 4 miles (6 km) east of Bradford. It was formerly in the municipal borough of nearby Pudsey. During the industrial revolution Farsley was a centre for wool processing as there were a number of mills in the area.
