My ancestors - the Schofields worked at the Moorland Mill in the 1800 - 1900's. They lived first in E. Bierley and then in Birkenshaw. The last of the family to work there was Harry Schofield married to Mary Ann (Polly). They had three sons, Frank, Herbert and James. Frank was my father.
