Yorkshire > West Yorkshire > Dewsbury > Low Mill
Established c1850 as steam-powered mill making woollen blankets. Unusual layout, with shed housing both spinning and weaving. Warehouses, small two-storeyed buildings, finishing sheds, office and a cloth dryhouse (1882, designed by B Watson of Batley) complete the grouping. Two streets of workers' housing adjacent to mill may have been erected by millowner, who probably lived in residence sited to one side of complex. Demolished.
