Water-powered cotton-spinning mill built in mid 1780s and used in 19th century for flax spinning, then woollen spinning, and finally as saw mill. Three-storeyed six-bay mill with internal waterwheel replaced by turbine in 1879 when long stone and timber headrace evidently replaced original water system.
