Established c1804 and leased by three York linen drapers, one of whom also a partner in Lawrence Street Flax Mill, York, from c1816. Mill and bleachworks run jointly until closure of business in early 1850s when bleachworks included bleach house, wash house, sheds, two houses and four closes of grassland. After 1857 sale, land put to agricultural use and farm buildings replaced industrial buildings. Demolished.
