Description

Steam-powered worsted mill established in 1826 as a room and power mill. Main surviving buildings are fireproof mill (four storeys, twenty-two bays) of 1855-6 by Andrews and Delaunay of Bradford, incorporating fragments of original mill and of shed of c1850, engine house, boiler houses, warehouses (c1855 and later), large sheds, built probably for combing and weaving, and stable block. Associated buildings: terraces of workers' housing with corner shops.
