Built in 1909-10 as electrically powered worsted-weaving mill, to designs by John Haggas and Sons, Keighley. Main components were warehouse and attached weaving shed. Original uses of warehouse were yarn storage in basement, offices and piece storage on ground floor, further storage on first floor, and mending on top-lit second floor. Shed with large bays permitted by use of steel girders. Electricity not generated on site but supplied by public company. Use of mill reflects continuing strength of specialist worsted-weaving sector in early 20th century.
