Steam-powered cotton-spinning mill built beside Rochdale Canal in 1832 and, until 1897, run in conjunction with nearby Cinderhill Mill (62203) where powerloom weaving also undertaken. Five-storeyed ten-bay mill of 1832 with detached engine house, boiler house and warehouse, extended in early 1850s; boiler house rebuilt and mill repaired after boiler explosion in 1863. Packing room and cotton warehouse added in 1921 to design of Edward Stott of Todmorden. Boiler house demolished.
