Yorkshire > West Yorkshire > North Bierley > Park View Mills
Built in 1924-5 as electrically powered worsted-weaving mill designed by Moore and Crabtree of Keighley and commissioned by Lee and Foster, manufacturers then renting space in nearby room and power mill. Mill comprised single block on two levels. Basement gave storage space and working area; top-lit main floor had weaving area behind offices, working area for yarn preparation and finishing, and a loading bay. Steel-frame construction independent of outer walls on two sides allowed scope for expansion and freed floor of obstruction, and supported roof. Lack of generating room indicates power supplied by public company.
