Steam-powered shoddy mill, built c1907. Brick-built, with buildings arranged around a yard. Carbonising sheds, dyehouse and drying sheds on one side. Main range provided shed with six, later seven, bays for rag-grinding machines; attached engine house, with surviving horizontal engine, boiler house and chimney. Important example of a purpose-built shoddy mill. Part demolished.
