Steam-powered worsted mill, built c1870. Early history obscure, but by early 20th century run as room and power mill. Main buildings include four-storeyed eighteen-bay timber-floored mill of c1870, large sheds of various dates, offices, warehouses, and 1916 engine house containing 1905 inverted vertical engine bought second-hand. Original beam engine removed and Its internal end engine house subdivided to give rope race connecting with new engine house.
