Cotton-weaving shed, initially part of Upper Mill, an integrated cotton mill built on an exposed hillside site between 1833 and 1848. Single-storeyed shed, originally water-powered but by 1848 also steam-powered, subsequently enlarged in two phases. Adjacent warehouse. Shed interior gutted.
