Steam-powered cotton-spinning mill built beside Rochdale Canal in 1855-6, from 1879 used for cotton weaving. Original building, unusually for spinning mill, a single-storeyed shed with corner beam-engine house. Two-storeyed warehouse at corner perhaps original, shed enlarged and offices added before 1890. Minor demolition.
