Steam-powered fireproof flax-spinning mill of four storeys and eighteen bays built in early 1830s. Warehouse and single-storeyed weaving shed added shortly after 1850. After early 1860s used mainly for linen and woollen manufacture: shed enlarged in 1884 to designs of J M Fawcett of Leeds. Part demolished.
